Wooden Spinning Top

The Wooden Spinning Top is the most timeless fidget there is: give it a flick and watch it spin. This small, soothing ritual needs no battery or screen, fits in a pocket and costs just $0.99.

Why we love it

Spinning the top and watching it turn creates a moment of calming focus. For a child with ADHD, the repeated flick gives hands a quiet job that helps them listen; for an anxious child, following the spin works like a mini mindfulness break that resets attention.

• Resets focus through a simple, repeated motion
• Builds fine motor skills and finger coordination
• A natural, screen-free alternative to plastic fidgets
• Encourages independent play and timing challenges

How to use it

At home, keep it on the desk for thinking moments; in class, as a discreet fidget or reward; in groups, for challenges ("who can spin it longest?"). The smooth, sanded wood is warm to the touch, sturdy and plastic-free. Recommended from age 3 and up; it's a small object, so supervise toddlers. Sold individually; wholesale by the case of 12. Shipped from Québec.
