Liquid Motion Timer

Why we love it

The liquid timer is a desktop timer where colorful droplets cascade down, one by one, from one chamber to the next. Its larger format sits on a table and becomes a soothing show you watch all the way through. At $5.99, it's a sensory classic that hypnotizes kids and grown-ups alike.

The slow, hypnotic rhythm of the drops holds the gaze and naturally slows the breath. It's an ideal visual anchor to calm a tense moment or mark the end of an activity.

How to use it

At home, use it as a gentle timer for screen time, toothbrushing or a cuddle break. In class or in therapy, it structures a transition and gives a clear visual signal without stress.

• Time a calm break or a cool-down moment
• Support a transition between two activities
• Slow the breath by following the cascade
• Build a calming sensory corner at home

Who it's for

It helps children with ADHD who need a visual time cue, and anxious or autistic children who find the repetitive motion deeply reassuring. The clear plastic casing is sturdy and the liquid well sealed. Recommended from age 3, with supervision. Sold individually; wholesale by the case of 4.
